Reconstructing The Eroded Dentition With Bonded Ceramics
Time: 1:00 PM, September 12, 2026
Speaker: Dr. Jae Seon Kim
The prevalence of worn dentition in adults ranges from 29–100%, with approximately 3% exhibiting severe wear. When combined with occlusal dysfunction, treatment prognosis can become unpredictable, leading to premature restorative failure, patient dissatisfaction, and clinician frustration.
This lecture will discuss the key risk factors in treating worn dentition and outline treatment planning and bonding protocols designed to improve long-term restorative success.
Learning objectives:
- Identify key risk factors associated with worn dentition and occlusal dysfunction that may compromise restorative outcomes.
- Develop a predictable treatment plan for reconstructing eroded dentition with bonded ceramic restorations.
- Apply evidence-based bonding and occlusal protocols to reduce premature failure and improve long-term restorative success.
