This session will look at the information needed to diagnose, plan and restore our patients. In dentistry, our work is only as good as the data we collect. We discuss what records are needed for different procedures, the advantages and disadvantages of these techniques and available alternatives. We will cover the use of digital radiography and CBCT, photography, intraoral records and how to record mandibular motion.

  1. To understand what records are needed to best diagnose, plan and restore our patients.
  2. To know different ways of collecting and using data, and the advantages and disadvantages of these techniques.
