Dr Piper, DMD, MD has lectured to more than 400 dental and medical groups throughout the world.  He has been a visiting lecturer at the prestigious Master’s Forum at the Pankey Institute for the past several years, and, for over 20 years, he was on the faculty of the Dawson Center.  Dr. Piper is credited with the development of Doppler Auscultation for the diagnosis of TMJ disorders.  He has been a major contributor to the interpretation of CT and MR scans of the TMJ.  He developed the Piper Classification of TMJ Disorders, which is widely used in clinical practice.  Dr. Mark A Piper is a graduate of Harvard College, Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Vanderbilt Medical School.  He completed residency training in General Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Vanderbilt University.
